Our Story of 2019: Forbes, Tribeca... And an offer you cannot refuse!
Hello!
As we gear up for the new year, we've been reflecting on what a great 2019 it's been.
And so we could do either one of two things:
We could serve you a 15,000-word newsletter to start off strong... Or we could just share with you our top moments of the past year. Yeah, let's do that.
See you at the bottom!
So what have we been up to?
More stories from around the world:
We helped capture community stories, as with John Hopkins and USAID, documenting the amazing voices of communities fighting the HIV epidemic across the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.
We crafted the most beautiful family and company history book ever! Here’s how we went about it.
We had our first ever book launch! One of our most colourful clients threw a shindig for family and friends, celebrating the release of his wonderfully entertaining memoir.
We published the first-ever bespoke memoir to be commissioned by a woman, for herself!
We made Tribeca! Well, kind of... providing research for a documentary that was directed by Tina Charles and edited by Parker Dixon, about Tina's father’s iconic New York record store: Charlie’s Records.
We worked with award-winning poet, Hannah Lowe, to help her learn more about the 'characters' that shape her spectacular family tree…
Building our communities:
We ran some amazing workshops, including one turning children into time-travelling detectives(!), and another that explored family stories through digital heirlooms with Professor Tao Goffe.
Forbes made special mention of Plantain!
We spoke about how storytelling can be used to transfer knowledge between family business generations and navigate changes without compromising on core values.
And in our quest to make life story books more accessible, we developed the amazing Mini-Books!
Our mini-books make it easy and fun to capture your loved one's memories.
Here's how it works:
We send your loved one questions,
They answer them in writing using our guided online system,
We transform their answers into the most meaningful gift imaginable, interweaving custom illustrations and photographs.
Sounds lovely, doesn't it?
